“AI is Here to Stay. 4 Things Parents of Teens Should Know”

I’ve made AI a major component of my training over the past year to stay ahead of the curve with parents, teachers, counselors, and other adults invested in youths’ lives. AI is not going away; this technology will have a concrete impact on our youth and the next generation. I witnessed the development and release of smartphones and observed how they impacted our society, but my kids did not; smartphones were already part of their world when they were born. Our children were present for the birth of ‘everyday AI,’ which we can easily access. They have the opportunity to see a world before and after AI, while their kids will not. AI has its pros and cons, as with every new technology; there will be the good, the bad, and the ugly. We must stay abreast of what is here now with AI and what is coming.
