Missouri Interscholastic Cycling League MICL
MICL, as the Missouri Chapter of the parent organization, National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA), is focused on getting #morekidsonbikes. Mountain biking is the largest growing youth interscholastic sport right now. The MICL has a league format, allowing the
youth to develop physical skills, self-esteem, collaboration, and ethics through the medium of mountain biking. The coach's training is very comprehensive and the development of the youth comes first. The group training rides are respectful of the various skill levels of the participants. Those less interested in racing can participate in trail building and experiential adventures on the bike. Those more capable on bikes can excel into serious racers. Learning to ride bikes with others is a lifelong skill. As it is said in the industry: families that ride together, stay together.
