More Than a Game

I met Molly and Dan Rupprecht a few years ago through a mutual friend. They are amazing people. After losing their daughter, Maura, to suicide they wanted to find a way to help prevent further tragedies. Every year they host the Maura C. Rupprecht Memorial Hockey Game. Please support their effort through attendance to this hockey game or a donation to the cause. Here is a little more about the event. ~Ryan

The Deer Lakes Hockey Club, with the blessing and support of the Rupprecht Family, is once again hosting the Annual Maura C. Rupprecht Memorial Alumni Game. The game is being held with a bigger purpose – to provide more mental health support and suicide prevention services to our youth.

The pandemic has made it clear that resources are needed even more today to help strengthen our mental health resources to ensure we help all those in need. Proceeds from today’s event will be used to further enhance mental health and suicide prevention programs in and around the Deer Lakes Community. We are #AllForOne.
